The name Kauwahi ʻAnaina Hawaiʻi means “our Hawaiian gathering place.” Hawaiians always enjoy getting together and when the members of Kauwahi ʻAnaina Hawaiʻi Hawaiian Civic Club (KAHHCC) gather, they know that they will connect with friends, family, ono food, music, and Na Mea (things that are Hawaiian).

From hula and mele to language revitalization and cultural workshops, our commitment to preserving Hawaiian traditions is an integral part of our Hui’s mission. Like the sacred Kalo plant, it is the roots that feed us. We believe that by fostering a deep connection to our roots, we can empower future generations to navigate the complexities of the modern world while staying grounded in the timeless wisdom of our ancestors.
While we are away from our island home, we still recognize the importance of community engagement and collaboration. Through partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and cultural practitioners, we work to ensure that Hawaiian culture remains vibrant and relevant, even if we are generationally or geographically removed from Hawaii’s direct influence.
